  Scott Mills

Born 1974, Scott Mills was raised in Southampton. He was Britain's youngest professional radio D.J. when at the age of 16 he joined a local radio station in Hampshire and went on to present at three other independent stations before joining Radio 1 in 1998.

He commenced with the early show aired between 4 and 7 am, which he still presents today. He has also ably stood in for Zoe Ball, Sara Cox on their breakfast shows and Mark Goodier's Top 40 show.

He has presented Radio 1 shows covering the  'Love Parade' as well as the 'One Big Sunday' show. He has fronted a variety of music programmes on British Television, including Planet Pop, and Top of the Pops.

May 2004 found Scott in the weekday drivetime slot, covering for Sara Cox who had commenced maternity leave. Despite Sara's return to Radio 1 in March 2005 he remains there today!

Rest in Peace
