It's from 'Dave Cash at 4', broadcast in 1970 and featuring Cat Stevens. I once had a reel to reel recording of the interview as a youth. Cat talks briefly (from memory) about his then girlfriend Patti D'Arbanville and about his antique Gibson guitar. Would you know of any means of locating the full recording I have a few vintage radio recordings that I could possibly trade.

This was quite an up-tempo number although similar in feel to 'Come Saturday Morning' , which was also popular around this time. Lately, I found one of these tapes. On there there is a trailer for a programme called "Andy Peebles' Soul Train on BFBS". He used a theme tune I am looking for. I have contacted BFBS in London the producer at that time and even Andy Peebles himself, but both could not remember the tune. Maybe, you can. I have attached the MP3 trailer.
Listen to the theme and hopefully you can give me any information who is by.

Does anyone know of any pubs that still have the DLT Give Us A Break machine that was so popular 20 years ago, or were they all withdrawn when he left the station. There must still be a few in existence, possibly not in commercial use, but as antiques I once won five quid on one in 1987 so have fond memories of the machine.

In 1977 Radio 4 jumped on the theme bandwagon and used to start up with a pseudo-medieval galliard type tune. I think the whole operation was fairly short-lived because it was not considered in keeping with the 'Home Service' profile. I've been trying to prove it wasn't my imagination ever since.
The only other time it was used was in the 80s with Les Dennis and Dustin Gee in their 'Donkeyote' ( ) sketch.
I did think Fritz Speigl wrote it but I don't know. Any ideas
