help identifying a song from c Sept-Nov 1967 Pick of The Pops Show

My late Dad used to record songs from Pick of the Pops each Sunday onto his reel-to-reel tape recorder. He would successfully fade in and out each song, to eliminate any commentary from Alan Freeman.  One of the tapes start with a yet unidentified song, by a female singer which we are desperately trying to trace.  The title sounds like it should be “(I’ll be spending my time) loving you” – but it’s NOT the Anita Harris hit of the same name. The song is followed by Autumn Almanac/Kinks, Michael Angelo/23rd TurnOff, Baby Now that I’ve Found You/Foundations, Fall in Love/Tom Jones, Kind Midas in Reverse/Hollies. Perhaps the song was recorded from Unit 1 (new entries), Unit 2 (new releases) or even Unit 3 (album tracks) as we can’t link it to any other songs present in the charts then. I need expert help here.  Please contact me for a copy of the song or for a list of other songs recorded after the mystery song on the tape.  Many thanks – the song was always a mystery for my late Dad and I’d dearly like to trace it.

info/ recordings of  BBC World Service themes

Hi, I'm looking for information and/or recordings of the theme music to two old BBC World Service themes from the

mid 70s. One programme was called 'New Ideas' and the theme music was vaguely reminiscent of some 60s cinema Pearl and Dean advertising theme. It consisted of vibraphone and dramatic chords. The other programme was called something like 'News Today' and was a current affairs roundup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. They used to be on around midnight GMT.I've tried contacting the BBC but they said they couldn't help.

Thanks for your time, what a great resource Radio Rewind is,

Colin White.

 How Do You Do

1949 programme info

Can you tell me if you have any knowledge of a radio programme that was first broadcast on the 20 January 1949 called 'How Do You Do' starring Arthur Askey, Anthea Askey and Richard Murdoch. It was a series of eight programmes broadcast on the BBC Light programme. I was in the first broadcast which was made at my parents house in Camberwell London, the remainder were made in other parts of England. I would be extremely pleased if you could help. Jingle

Details

I am trying to track down two pieces of music which were used as radio jingles on Radio 1 as well - I am sure - as some pirate stations in the 1960s.

The first has the organ as the lead instrument in the jingle's "break", but it is a longer instrumental called "Portrait": any idea who recorded it please

The second I have no real details of other than it was a really haunting, slow harmonica solo.   Does that ring any bells

Many thanks in advance.
