15 December 2008 14:08 | Kev Roberts kev (at)kevroberts.com | Wanted Magic 828 Show | Hi, Recently I noticed a tape collector Martin Clarke from the West Midlands had airchecks of one of my programmes at Magic 828-Leeds in the early 90s. If Martin has a new email, could he get in touch. I am looking for airchecks from Sunset 102, 1988 and Magic. Hope you can help. Kind regards Kev Roberts Goldsoul , PO Box 909, Worksop, Notts S80 3YZ United Kingdom Web; www.goldsoul.co.uk |

09 October 2008 10:11 | Nick Mawsonappletree67 (at)ntlworld.com | Robbie Vincent | Hi Everyone, I am a long time fan of Robbie Vincent and would welcome trades or the opportunity to buy old radio shows from any station where he has presented his soul shows. I would also love to get hold of his new Jazz FM show too as it will not be broadcast in the north east. If anyone could tape these shows on a regular basis or put them onto CD, I would happily meet the costs. I will also consider any other soul related shows by other presenters from any stations. Thanks, Nick |

09 June 2008 15:13 | paul_r_sim(at)tiscali.co.uk Paul Sim | Radio One - List of records played | Hi, I'm trying to find out the name of a tune and it's artist that Neil Francis used to use on his Radio Shows when he worked for Invicta FM. It was a dance type sound originating (I think) in 1992 and was used for introducing the phone in section(s) of his shows. The vocals included the line "Take me higher" (or could be "I'll take you higher") followed by a solid beat on percussion and keyboards similar in rhythm and speed to Madonna's 'Vogue'. Having had no joy with emails to Neil (now at Virgin), I did come across a scrap of paper I noted when I was away that this tune (or a remix of it) was played on Radio One at 08.10 am on Wednesday 29 June 2005. If anyone has a way of accessing the list of what was played from (say) 08.00 to 08.20 that day, it would most likely give me the answer I have sought for some years and I'd be very grateful. Please contact me at the email address above. Thanks |
11 June 2008 19:46 | Gordon Blackler mail (at)gordonblackler.co.uk | Radio 1 jingle / song Help | Hi. been searching for a Radio 1 jingle / song and haven't found anything so far. Steve Wright in the afternoon 3-5.30pm (6 ). It was a song about food, voiced-over by a Jordie I believe. The first verse was something like: "When I listen to the radio I'm happy as can be Coz that's when I have loads a grub I'll eat anything, me. " Then other random bits I can remember are: "... biryani, loads of fried rice, aye corned beef hash, loads of mash, bottle of fizzy pop ... then there's beefy stew, potatoes new... ... ... lemon and lime When I listen to the radio I have a canny time " It's all a bit of a blur after that. Anyone point me to the full lyrics or an mp3 even Cheers Gordon |
29 May 2008 21:03 | Big Bill BillSwaffham(at)aol.com | 5AM Radio 2 /Light Programme Music Piece | Wow what a site. Really brought back some great memories. Here's one for the archives - many years ago before Radio 2 went on all night, it was probably the light programme or something like it, it would open up at 5am with a rousing orchestral piece. We were working nights and had the radio turned on although hearing nothing till this resounding tune boomed out - we would know we would have to wake up our workmates so we could get the job straight for a 6am finish. Anyone know what the music was please
Thanks
